PEAK Team member Joyce is a regular visitor – and fan – of De Achterhoek. On Sunday 3 July she shared her enthusiasm with us during a 110km ride through this beautiful region.
Our ride out location was Berc Bike Studio Café in Zeddam. Owners Willem and Bertil started this beautifully designed ‘biker’s place to be’ in 2019. Gravel, mtb and road cyclists (De Achterhoek has it all) come here for delicious coffees and beers, exclusive clothing, gadgets and bike maintenance. Joyce put together a great route along beautiful dykes, up a few nice climbs and across small villages of which some boast impressive castles and manors. Het Kunstgemaal in Bronckhorst provided us with lunch and the best view ever. Back at Berc we saw Dylan Groenewegen win the sprint in the 3d Tour de France stage. The perfect finish of a perfect day of cycling!
