Our start of the new outdoor season couldn’t have been better! Spending five sunny days in this amazing cycling paradise. Characterised by spectacular winding roads along the coast and countless exciting climbs and downhills. The variety of the landscape and safe roads in this region are a real delight!
We conquered all different routes and challenges; spinning or grinding. Each of us at his/her own level and with great teamwork, and some post ride stretching for the lovers. And of course a visit to cycling cafés like La Fábrica or Hors Categorie to get inspired and to watch a cycling race on the big screen. Or to admire the LOOK time trial bike Erik Breukink used during the Tour de France of 1994 🙂
After a nice and hot shower the evenings started at the rooftoop terrace of our hotel. Replaying the day’s events and looking forward to the next day. Enjoying a drink and some delicious tapas during the sunset with the Girona cathedral illuminated in the background.
There was also time to put some members in the spotlight. We celebrated René’s birthday, now he’s finally got his complete PEAK outfit too – and some funny socks. Without any doubt Hans was our PEAKer of this trip. All our credits go out to him because of the way he found an optimal balance between challenging himself and knowing his limits. We hope you love your Girona buff/neck warmer!
