About this ride
Brabant raised many Dutch cycling champions like Marianne Vos, Adrie van der Poel (and son Mathieu), Leontien van Moorsel and Steven Kruijswijk. During this social ride you discover parts of this beautiful and varied region. It will take you along rivers, through forests, and typical (dyke) villages.
Jan Klerkx is our trainer Rob’s father. This 83 (!) year old was a very strong cyclist in his early days and has cycling running through his veins. He is still riding his bike and very passionate about the sports. For the 4th time in a row father and son will host the – in the meantime famous – Jan Klerkx Classic. You can expect a warm southern welcome again, and some strong cycling stories from his early days when he competed with Jan Janssen (first ever Dutch Tour de France winner) and Raymond Poulidor (Mathieu van der Poel’s grandpa).
Social ride
Your first 100km? This ride is a perfect way to try it out:-) The pace is social and with great group (team)work so kilometres will fly by. Plus you’ll have the opportunity to re-energize during short stops and a big lunch break.

- When: Sunday 30 April
- Departure and return: at 9:00 we’ll travel together by car from our clubhouse Thúskomme, Batjanstraat 1a
We expect to be back in Amsterdam around 18:00 - Ride start/finish location: Vught

- Pace: 26-28 km/h
