Sunday 30 April. What a beautiful and sunny day for the 4th edition of our Jan Klerkx Classic! Father Jan and son Rob hosted a beautiful 110km tour through the Brabant countryside again.
We started at Jan’s home in Vught, where he gave us a warm southern welcome. Jan used to be a very strong cyclist in his early days and has cycling running through his veins. At 84 (!), he is still active on his bike and very passionate.
Jan livened up our lunch break at De Rustende Jager in De Loonse & Drunense Duinen with some fascinating cycling stories about the races in his early days. Rob told us some interesting facts about the villages and sites along the way. We finished with a drink and a snack at Jan’s place, while he played the accordion 🙂
Perfect weather, perfect company, perfect ride! 110km’s fly by with a great peloton of PEAK-buddies.
Looking forward to next year when we’ll have our 5th anniversary of the Jan Klerkx Classic!
